How Do I get rid of hair oil?

December 25, 2013.
How do I get rid of hair oil? Many of you ask this questions, so I did some research and this is what I found from www.michellephan.com (You should check it out). Ask Michelle: How Do I Prevent Oily Hair?  I put this in my way that I perfer, but it is up to you of what you perfer. Extra resources: www.ehow.com Link: How to prevent oily hair.

Things you will need to prevent oily hair:
Shampoo
Conditioner
Lightweight gel
Lemon Juice
Baby powder

1. Remember that keeping hair clean is the main key, so shampoo everyday. Shampoo helps takes out the oil dipenser of your hair, aka the scalp's oil. Although in Michelle Phan's website, it says to skip shampoo and do shampoo every once in a while and use dry shampoo, I prefer using shampoo everyday. (You can use either ways, according to your showering routine.)
2. Instead of normal shampoo, use one especially made for oily hair.
This is some few examples:

This is my purchase from Whole Foods supermarket, and this says: For Oily+Normal Hair. This is the ones to buy.
What to watch out for:
This is for Normal+Dry hair, so it's not made for Oily hair types..
3.Add conditioner on your tip of your hair only. Not on your scalp.
Conditioner is made out of some oil materials, so only put them on your tips, and rinse it out. As I said earlier, the scalp is where you call it the oil dispenser, and you don't want to add any more oil...right?
4.Don't use hair styling products like: Gels, mousses and hairsprays all add on to oily hair...so don't use them. But lightweight gels can be acceptable to hair that is oily.
5.According to eHow.com, they suggest you to use 'food products on your hair: After showering, mix 1/2 cup of lemon juice and 3 cups of water together. (Maybe in a bowl) Apply it on your scalp, with your hands, or using a brush to apply. Lemon absorbs the hair oil and cleans your scalp too...maybe it will smell good too!
6.Brush your hair just a little bit. If you want to brush your hair out, just brush the tip of your hair, and avoid the scalp.
7.Apply a sprinkle of baby powder on your scalp. This will also absorb oil. (If you feel uncomfortable with baby powder on your hair, you can tap of some with towel if you prefer.
So here it is...how to prevent oily hair. I actually used these tips and they do really work!
